At first glance I wasn’t too crazy about this pattern but the more I looked at it, the more it grew on me. Suggested use was for a handbag but it would make an awesome quilt block as well. The Dutch must have really adopted embroidery as their art expression of choice since tulip patterns [...]

This is only the centerpiece of the design since it’s for a pillowcase and is much larger than my scanner. It would be easy enough to repeat, though.

Perfect for Valentine’s day! This could also be used a clip art or for scrapbooking by simply coloring with markers or pencils. I’ve also seen patterns like this one done in creamy beige on a white background which is quite elegant. Hey, it’s got french knots and well, a must have for my pattern collection.
