Definitely rural vintage! This is from the same sheet as the farm kids and it was loose in the box so I have no idea who originally published it. I’m sure it’s in the public domain since there weren’t any copyright notices.

Judging from the size of the pail this must be a chicken trying to get the feed out. Chickens seem to be a popular theme in vintage embroidery. Those of you that do redwork probably have some chickens in your collection.
