The lazy daisy stitch is one of the easiest stitches to learn and it goes really fast. The lazy daisy stitch makes quick work of large floral sprays like this one.

The french knots are also really easy. After wrapping the needle three times with the floss, hold the thread tight while pulling the needle through from the underside of the work. This design lends itself to beadwork as well.
This might work on a pocket or on the edge of a sleeve.
